If I'm completely honest, I think Wii 2 would be a better name than Wii U. And that way people would know it's a follow-up (who might not be the most 'active' gamers out there).

Exactly what my friend thought as we watched the reveal live.

The name "Wii U" has grown on me, but I really hope they change the name, just to have some new branding.

Super Nintendo Wii entertainment system is expected.

Kinda sorta.

Hmm, well the Xbox became Xbox 360, and PS1 became PS2 and then PS3, so I guess the Wii could become Wii 2, especially since it's not just backwards-compatible, but requires the wiimotes and nunchuks for most games. Still, I wouldn't mind if they did something like Nintendo Stream.

I think Wii U isn't that bad of a name to be honest, just wish they'd stop associating it SO much with the Wii, and give it something new to call.

Call it the Nintendo Dolphin Revolution. NDR has a nice ring to it.

The Dolphin and Revolution sound much more epic, even though they are beta names for past systems, they still sound more epic than the "Wii U".
